Phil, Jake and Patty Aaberg participated in the KCRW 24 Hour Radio Race, along with approximately 200 other teams. Everyone received the topic “The Last Thing You’d Expect” and then had 24 hours to write, record, edit and upload a six minute non-fiction radio story. This program goes behind the scenes and follows their participation in the race and the making of the story

Their story raises questions that no parent had to face until recently and contains an entire universe of questions about the lines between life and death, reflex and will, and the confusing tug of war between two basic moral touchstones: doing no harm…and doing everything in our power to help.
