Missoula Realtor: Fewer Home Sales No Cause For Worry

Fewer homes sold in the Missoula area during the first three quarters of this year compared to the same time last year, but a local real estate official says he's not too worried.

In fact, Brint Wahlberg says Missoula's housing market continues its steady recovery.

Wahlberg is board president of the Missoula Organization of Realtors. He says 111 fewer homes sold between January and the end of September compared to the same time last year. But he tells Edward O'Brien it's not fair to directly compare the home sales between the two years.

Edward O’Brien first landed at Montana Public Radio three decades ago as a news intern while attending the UM School of Journalism. He covers a wide range of stories from around the state.
