Four-term Democratic State Representative Jean Price of Great Falls has died. Price died Monday morning of pancreatic cancer.

Friend and campaign manager Carl Donovan says Price was a genuinely warm and loving woman.

"She never met a person that was not her friend or made you feel like you were her friend. She was always smiling and bubbly. Everybody loved her and she was always the life of the party."

Price was first elected to the Montana Legislature in 2010 and term-limited out of the House after the 2017 session.

Donovan says Price, a longtime art teacher at Great Falls High, always placed a premium on education-related issues.

"The School for the Deaf and Blind was very important to her. She got a bill passed that children with disabilities now will have playground equipment. She also worked hard to keep the white-cane program available for people who are blind. She was just passionate about people and the things that she did."

Democratic Governor Steve Bullock issued a statement Monday describing Price as as one who, "Always led with the care of others in mind."

Democratic U.S. Senator Jon Tester describes Price as, "Someone that the state of Montana, especially folks in Great Falls, will sorely miss."

Price was 75.

Funeral and memorial services are pending.
