Blackfeet tribal leaders announced a second lab-confirmed case of the COVID-19 illness Saturday night.

Blackfeet COVID-19 Incident Command posted to Facebook that Blackfeet Community Hospital received the positive test and that the patient is quarantined and under surveillance.

The command announced the reservation’s first case of a non-member resident on April 10.

The Tribe’s stay at home order remains in effect, along with a curfew, closure of tribal offices and 14-day quarantine requirement for people returning to the reservation from infected areas.

Blackfeet Reservation residents are required to wear face masks and gloves when in public.
