On tonight's evening newscast: The full length of Glacier National Park’s Going to the Sun Road is now open again. Park officials re-opened the eastern side of the road this morning, now that the wildfire burning near St. Mary appears to be subsiding.

Flathead County investigators have not been able to determine the cause of a fire that killed a woman and her young son, but don't have any reason to suspect foul play.

An 18-year-old Wyoming man is pleading not guilty to murder and assault charges in the fatal roadside shooting of a husband and wife on Montana's Crow Indian Reservation. Investigators say Jesus Deniz of Worland killed Jason and Tana Shane on July 26 when they and their daughter offered to help what they believed was a stranded motorist in the small town of Pryor.

Almost a day of searching led to the recovery of a helicopter that sank in a lake while the pilot was getting water to douse a fire on private property.
