The National Weather Service in Missoula is warning of another round of strong thunderstorms in western Montana Friday, with the possibility of hail and strong winds.
Via National Weather Service - Missoula: Friday's atmospheric setup is much different from days past with regards to thunderstorm potential: not only will widespread strong-to-severe thunderstorms be possible, but a plethora of impacts could result from these storms. Whereas other storms this week have produced strong winds, Friday's storms could produce large hail, damaging winds in excess of 60+ mph, flash flood concerns, and enhanced impacts to ongoing wildfires. Given this potential scenario, it is strongly advised to plan ahead in order to be ready for a stormy Friday across central Idaho and western Montana.
