House candidate Ryan Zinke says good leaders can change their minds

U.S. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke file photo.

Five Republicans are running to serve as Montana's next Representative in the U-S House.
The race has highlighted a rift among four candidates who generally view themselves as being more consistently conservative than former Montana state senator, Ryan Zinke; an accusation denied by the 52-year-old Zinke.

He recently stopped by our studios to talk about his campaign and the conversation stated with what he says are his qualifications for the job. He tells Edward O'Brien his 23 years of service with the Navy Seals and stint as commander of the elite Seal Team Six is a good place to start:

O’Brien first landed at Montana Public Radio three decades ago as a news intern while attending the University of Montana School of Journalism. His first career job out of school was covering the 1995 Montana Legislature. When the session wrapped up, O’Brien was fortunate enough to land a full-time position at the station as a general assignment reporter. Feel free to drop him a line at edward.obrien@umt.edu.
