On this "Episode of Can Do: Lessons from Savvy Montana Entrepreneurs," Michael Braun, professor of management and marketing at the University of Montana, discusses what young entrepreneurs need to know when starting a company in a technology-fueled industry.
“I think that there are a lot of ‘wantrepreneurs.’ These are the folks that, at the bar, will tell me: ‘I’m thinking about this, I’m thinking about that' - and trust me, I’ve been there as well. But at some point, you go from just wanting, to doing," says Braun.
As a private equity financier, start-up consultant, cryptocurrency trader, author of text books on business strategy as well as children’s stories, Braun has his finger on the pulse of trends influencing the business world. He earned a B.A. in Asian Studies from Cornell University, and went on to receive an M.A. with a Hearst Fellowship in Publishing and Media from New York University, an MBA from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business and a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
