Marc Moss hosts Tell Us Something Radio, in which you'll hear five stories recorded during live Tell Us Something events held in Missoula.
The stories in this program include a laying on of hands, drag racing, dynamite, and women with exceptionally long hair, stories told by Susan Maruca, Nate Biehl, Mike Robinson, Marlies Borchers, and Jeremy N. Smith.
Tell Us Something is a celebration of storytelling, of the Missoula community (soon to be celebrating Helena, too), and of each other.
Susan Maruca is a scientist, software developer, and educator. When she’s not doing any of that, she hikes and builds functional ceramic objects based on what she sees in the natural world.
Nate Biehl is a musician and artist. He wrote the song, “Buzzin’,” which was recorded by the band Cash For Junkers. We use that recording in the Tell Us Something podcasts.
Mike Robinson is a geologist turned farrier who dabbles in renewable fuels. He once built an adobe wood fired oven in his backyard, which led to the building of another adobe wood fired oven, this one portable and in the shape of a garlic bulb. Thus, was born Clove Cart Pizza Peddlers.
Marlies Borchers arrived in Missoula in 1990, with a mission to study fine arts and creative writing at the University of Montana. She is a second generation ceramics artist, following traditions created by her father, Dean Borchers.
Jeremy N. Smith is a writer who specializes in profiles—of people, and of ideas related to science, the environment, globalization, and food.
