'The Shadow Cadets of Pennyroyal Academy': Logan Reviews

Penguin Random House

Hi, I’m Logan, here to tell you aboutThe Shadow Cadets of Pennyroyal Academy, a novel for young readers written by M. A. Larson. The Shadow Cadets of Pennyroyal Academy is a very interesting and suspenseful book. The main character is Evie, a princess cadet who learns that somebody is plotting to destroy the castle. Evie is brave, smart, and daring. She and her friends figure out how to stop the people behind the plot to destroy the castle. Evie lives with a family of dragons that took her in when she was a baby. She goes through a lot of intense training to protect herself and others. She learns that Cinderella was her first-year homeroom teacher as a princess.

Later in the story, she manages to breath fire, causing panic among those who were behind the plot to destroy the castle. This allows she and her friends to escape. After breathing fire, Evie wakes up in the castle hospital.

I would recommend this book for third grade and up, or for people interested in princesses.
