The Seeley Lake Ranger District is continuing work on roads as a part of post-fire recovery projects, causing closures and construction delays in many areas.
According to a press release from the ranger district, 180 miles of National Forest System roads are within the area that burned near Seeley Lake last summer. Over $2.3 million is planned in road maintenance and contract work across the District. This includes installing and replacing 66 culverts along roads.
Road #39019 off of Swamp Creek #4379 is closed at the intersection of Swamp Creek until repairs can be made.
Washouts have closed two different sections of road. Rice Ridge Road #720 is closed between Camp Creek Road #685 and Richmond Ridge Road #667. Henry Mountain Road #5407 is closed from milepost 2.5 at the junction with Road #56312 to milepost 4.8.
Upper Beaver Finley Road #9974 is closed near Boles Meadow due to standing water on the road.
Starting July 23, Dunham Creek Road #4388 will have traffic delays lasting up to several hours. Cottonwood Lakes Road #477 will continue to have delays as new culverts are installed near Morrell Mountain.
Dunham Creek Road will close on July 30 at noon and reopen August 3 at noon for road repair. This will restrict access to the Bob Marshall Wilderness on Lodgepole Trail #13 and Dunham Creek Trail #400.
Little Shanley Creek #4384 is open, but could have closures and delays starting July 30 for additional construction.
Repairs along Morrell Mountain Road #4365 and Black Canyon Road #4385 are finished and the roads are now open.
